Who you book with
Your contract is with SGO Travel and Destination Management JSC (SGO DMC), international tour operator licence No. 01-2699/2024, business registration 0110817595, 3rd floor, HPC Landmark 105, Tố Hữu Street, Hà Đông, Hanoi.
We run every tour ourselves, with our own guides and drivers and with local partners we choose and pay.
Booking and confirmation
- Day tours and experiences are booked online. Your booking is confirmed when you receive our email with a booking reference.
- Multi-day tours can be booked online or through a planner. Hotels are held once the deposit is paid.
- Tailor-made trips start with a free draft. The trip is confirmed when you accept the final route and pay the deposit.
Prices and payment
Prices are per person in US dollars and include everything listed under "What's included" on the tour page. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
- Day tours and experiences: paid in full when you book.
- Multi-day and tailor-made tours: a deposit of 30% when you book, the balance 30 days before departure.
- Children aged 5 to 11 pay 70% of the adult price when sharing with two adults.
Partner and promo codes
Some of our local partners share a code or a link with their guests. When you use one, the discount is shown before you pay and the partner is credited for the booking.
- One code per booking. Codes cannot be combined with other offers.
- Codes have an end date and may apply to selected tours only.
- A code from a partner link is kept in your browser for 30 days.
Changes by you
We are happy to change dates, hotels or the number of travellers when we can. Changes made more than 24 hours before a day tour, or 14 days before a multi-day tour, are free. Any difference in price is charged or refunded.
Cancellation by you
- Day tours and experiences: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.
- Multi-day tours: free cancellation up to 14 days before departure. From 13 to 7 days, 50% of the tour price; from 6 days, 100%.
- Flights, trains and boats booked for you follow the rules of the carrier.
Changes or cancellation by us
Mountain passes close in fog and boats stay in port in storms. If weather or local rules change a tour, we offer the closest alternative. If a service cannot run at all, you get a full refund for that service.
Travel insurance and health
Please travel with insurance that covers medical care, evacuation and cancellation. Some tours include walks on uneven paths or nights at homestays with shared bathrooms; each tour page says how active it is.
Passports and visas
Your passport must be valid for at least six months after you arrive. Most visitors need an e-visa; check the official requirements for your nationality before you book flights. Hotels and homestays register every foreign guest with the local police, so please carry your passport.
If something goes wrong
Tell your guide or call our Hanoi office on +84 88 933 9986 straight away, so we can fix it while you travel. After your trip, write to info@sgodmc.com within 30 days.
Law
These conditions are governed by the law of Vietnam.
