Privacy policy

What we collect when you book or write to us, why we need it and who sees it.

Draft for SGO to review before launch. Terms highlighted like this still need to be confirmed.

Who we are

SGO Travel and Destination Management JSC (SGO DMC), 3rd floor, HPC Landmark 105, Tố Hữu Street, Hà Đông, Hanoi, is responsible for the personal data described here. Write to info@sgodmc.com with any question.

What we collect

  • Contact details: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country.
  • Trip details: dates, travellers, the tours you book, hotel preferences, food or health needs you choose to tell us.
  • Passport details, only when a hotel, homestay, boat or permit needs them.
  • Payment status from our payment provider. We do not store card numbers.
  • Messages you send us by form, email or WhatsApp.

Why we use it

  • To plan, book and run your tour, and to reach you while you travel.
  • To meet legal duties, such as registering foreign guests with the local police through your hotel.
  • To reply to a request you send us.
  • To send news or offers, only if you ask for them. You can stop at any time.

Partner codes and links

If you arrive through a link from one of our local partners, the partner code is saved in your browser for 30 days so the discount can be applied. When you book, we record which partner sent you. The partner sees the booking reference, the tour, the date and the amount, but not your email, phone or passport details.

Who we share it with

  • Hotels, homestays, guides, drivers, boats and workshops on your tour, only what each of them needs.
  • Airlines and train or boat operators when we book tickets for you.
  • Our payment provider, to take your payment.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for 5 years for accounting and tax. Requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 2 years.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses only what it needs to work: your partner code (if any), the search you made, and whether you closed the partner message. If analytics are added, they will be listed here and only run with your consent.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop receiving news from us. Write to info@sgodmc.com and we will reply within 30 days.
