Overview
A long day out from Hanoi to Hạ Long Bay and back, about two and a half hours each way on the expressway. On the water you have five hours between the limestone islets, with lunch on board.
Walk through the chambers of Sửng Sốt cave, then paddle a kayak under the low arch of Luồn Cave into a lagoon closed in by cliffs. If you prefer not to kayak, a local rower takes you through by bamboo boat.

How long is the drive?
About two and a half hours each way on the expressway, with one rest stop.
Can I kayak if I have never done it?
Yes. Kayaks are doubles, life jackets are provided and the lagoon is calm. Children kayak with a parent.
What if the weather is bad?
When the harbour authority closes the bay for a storm, no boats sail. We move your trip to another date or refund you.
