Overview
A day in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park with two very different caves. In the morning, a dragon boat takes you up the Son River and is rowed inside Phong Nha Cave, then you walk out through the dry chambers.
After a picnic lunch on the riverbank, drive to Paradise Cave. About 500 steps lead up to the entrance, then a wooden boardwalk runs for the first kilometre of a cave more than 30 km long.

Good to know
How fit do I need to be?
You need to manage about 500 steps up to Paradise Cave, at your own pace. Inside, the boardwalk is flat.
Is it cold inside the caves?
No. Paradise Cave stays around 20°C all year. Wear shoes with grip, the steps can be damp.
What happens in the flood season?
In October and November the river can rise and Phong Nha Cave closes. We swap in another cave or refund you.
